About the American Atlas

In January 2025 the Gulf of Mexico was renamed the Gulf of America by executive order. The American Atlas simply follows that logic to its natural conclusion: every body of water in North America — American, Canadian, and Mexican alike — is now named America, and every national park, monument, and landmark is now Trump-something. Navigation may become challenging. That is a small price to pay for greatness.

This is satire. A parody project. Not affiliated with any government, bureau, executive order, or golf course. Except for the Gulf of Mexico (renamed in this timeline too), the renamings here are fictional — for now.

Built with Leaflet. The entire map — land, borders, lakes, rivers — is drawn from Natural Earth data (public domain). No tile servers, no API keys: the Bureau trusts no foreign cartography. The only labels left untouched are countries and states. Click any lake or river; they are all named America now. Coordinates approximate; patriotism absolute.
